How do I use variable values ​​in a quick reply or WhatsApp template?

Templates allow the inclusion of variables to personalize messages. For instance, use placeholders that will populate customer-specific information from your import file. For example, {{contact.name}} where “contact.name” is the field header in the contact import. 

You can use the button Add variable or just copy paste the variable placeholder in your text: {{HEADERNAME}}

If you add a variable to the text, an additional step in the Add WhatsApp template wizard will appear after saving. Click on edit in the template overview to see this step:

Alternative value

If a specific value is unavailable, you can set an alternative value separated by : (without spaces).

Examples:

{{appointment.date}}:Upcoming Date
