Product Updates Q4 2025

Spotler Message introduced major messaging infrastructure and automation improvements in Q4 2025. These updates focused on scalable outbound messaging automation, omnichannel communication expansion, operational workflow optimization, and flexible data governance controls.

The updates improve enterprise messaging scalability, campaign automation, customer segmentation, and channel management across SMS, WhatsApp, Viber, and other supported communication channels.

Campaign API

Spotler Message introduced a dedicated Campaign API that allows external systems to fully automate SMS and WhatsApp campaign workflows. External systems can now launch complete bulk messaging campaigns through a single API request instead of sending messages individually.

Large recipient audiences can immediately be submitted for:

  • SMS campaigns
  • WhatsApp campaigns
  • Operational notifications
  • Transactional messaging
  • Automated customer engagement flows

The API is designed for enterprise-scale outbound communication volumes and supports highly automated messaging scenarios.

Contact and Conversation Label Automation

Spotler Message expanded support for automated label management across contacts and conversations. This functionality creates a more flexible operational framework for managing customer communication and automation workflows.

Labels can now automatically be applied through:

  • Chatbot interactions
  • APIs
  • Automation workflows
  • Campaigns
  • Routing logic

Labels can subsequently be used for:

  • Segmentation
  • Reporting
  • Conversation routing
  • Campaign targeting
  • Operational prioritization

Viber Channel Support

Spotler Message expanded its omnichannel communication capabilities with native Viber support. Organizations can now use Viber as an additional communication channel within the centralized Spotler Message inbox and campaign infrastructure.

The Viber integration supports both:

  • Customer service conversations
  • Outbound messaging campaigns

This enables organizations to expand their international messaging strategy and communicate through additional preferred customer channels. By adding Viber to the omnichannel ecosystem, Spotler Message provides more flexibility for customer communication across different regions and messaging preferences.

Improved Data Retention and Channel-Level Retention Settings

Spotler Message introduced more flexible retention configuration options that allow organizations to define data retention settings per communication channel.

Retention periods can now be configured individually for channels such as:

  • WhatsApp
  • Instagram
  • Other connected messaging channels

This flexibility helps organizations align messaging data retention with internal governance, privacy, and compliance requirements.

Standard data retention period

Spotler Message uses a default data retention period of 90 days. Messages, media files, and conversation data are automatically deleted after the configured retention period expires.

Retention settings per channel

Each communication channel can have an individual retention configuration.

Examples include:

  • WhatsApp numbers
  • Instagram accounts
  • Other connected messaging channels

Customers can view retention settings per channel through: Channels → open the selected channel → Data Retention

Privacy and compliance alignment

Automatic deletion after the configured retention period supports data minimization and privacy management requirements.

Because retention settings are connected to contractual and compliance-related agreements, retention configurations are managed together with Spotler Support.

Changes to retention periods may also require updates to contractual documentation, data governance agreements, or Data Processing Agreement configurations.

Changing data retention settings

If you want to adjust the retention period for one or more communication channels, contact Spotler Support. Spotler Support can configure the requested retention settings and help ensure alignment with your existing compliance and governance agreements.
